Government spokesman Yiorgos Petalotis, speaking to reporters during a daily briefing, merely noted that "we have a plan that we are implementing and, of course, we absolutely dismiss all scenarios over a restructuring of the Greek debt”.
He added that the European Union was currently discussing ways to solve a debt crisis in the eurozone and stressed that there were no decisions yet.
“Our position and the EU’s position are specific. There is no issue of implementing such scenarios”.
Petalotis noted that adhering to set goals was the only real scenario which is currently being implemented.
He reiterated that the Greek government was participating in a discussion to extending the repayment period of the 110-billion-euro loan agreed to with the EU and the IMF.
