Aris crushed at Goettingen, Panellinios out

A terrible performance by Aris saw the Thessaloniki side go down at Goettingen and be
almost out of the Eurocup, while Panellinios had their elimination confirmed.
Goettingen thrashed a most disappointing Aris, who had coach Lefteris Subotic for the first time on their bench, with a 74-55 score in Germany.
The Yellows had a disastrous first half that saw them trail their host 45-20, reducing the second half to a mere formality.
Having only scored one victory in four games in the second group stage of the competition, Aris now need all results to go their way in the two remaining rounds to reach the knock-out stages.
Greece's other representative, Panellinios, are now mathematically eliminated from the same competition, as they lost 82-72 at Benetton Treviso on Tuesday and are left without a win after four games in the second group stage.
The Lamia-based team gave the Italian host a good run for their money but crumbled in the end.
They can now turn their focus entirely on preserving their A1 status in Greece.
