A proposal by main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Antonis Samaras regarding backdated processing of "sources of wealth" statements submitted by political figures who took office in the period following the restoration of democracy in the country (1974), was accepted by justice minister Haris Kastanidis.
Responding to ND parliamentary spokesman Costas Tzavaras, the minister said that he has no objections to the proposal, adding that he will consult with the minister of the interior because the measure falls under his authority.
