Rumors of a National Bank- Alpha Bank merger

Since there was a scheduled meeting of the board of directors of Alpha Bank, a
rumour circulated that Alpha Bank and National Bank will merge. Almost at the same time, the indicator of the stock market which was recording losses of more than 1.6%, climbed upwards of 1690 units.
It is also noteworthy that Alpha Bank’s administration has systemically categorically denied the rumor that it is going to increase capital.
It is also worthy of note that the Stock Exchange administration decided to suspend the trading of both of the shares in the market. Both had been recording great gains, with Alpha Bank’s share gaining up to 5.6% and National Bank at 1.20%, reaching 7.58 euro.
