Thunderstorms and strong winds all over the country

The National Weather Service warns of dangerous weather with rain and gale force
southerly winds

throughout most of the country.

Specifically, heavy rain and storms are predicted for the Ionian, Epirus, western
Mainland, western Peloponnisos, western and central Macedonia, Thessaly and
Central Greece.

On the evening and during the night the powerful phenomena will affect eastern
Macedonia, Thrace, Cyclades, eastern Aegean, Dodecanese, the rest of Peloponnisos
and Crete.

Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, the ships were forbidden to sail from the ports of
Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio, because of strong winds in the seas that reach up to 9B.

The ferry crossing of Rio-Antirio was also closed. The Ag. Konstantinos-Sporades,
Kilini-Zakynthos and Kilini-Argostoli schedules are not carried out.

From Igoumenitsa-Kerkira and Igoumenitsa-Lefkimi the routes are only with
closed type ships. Only the ships for Italia leave the port of Patra while the routes of
hydrofoils from Piraeus to Argosaronikos are also blocked along with those of the
small ships to Salamina.
