Greek students protest country's involvement in Libya air strikes

Hundreds of students demonstrated in Athens on
Monday against Greece's support for international air strikes against Libya. The government has been forced to clarify that it is only providing logistical support - use of its bases and airports - to efforts to establish a no-fly zone over Libya, and that it is not taking part in any military operations.
Over the weekend, more than 3,000 Communist Party supporters marched peacefully in protest near the entrance of the American air force and navy base at Souda Bay, on the southern Mediterranean island of Crete.
