Panionios upset Honved to qualify to the final of Europe's LEN Trophy on
Wednesday. The Nea Smyrni club reached their second final in the last three years in the second-tier club competition in Europe by overturning the three-goal advantage the Hungarians had taken from the first leg.
Honved had won 12-9 in Budapest two weeks earlier, but the Greeks managed to turn things in their favor winning 11-6 at home for a two-goal aggregate victory in the semifinal.
Panionios will now face Italy's Savona in the two-leg final on April 13 and 27, with the first leg to take place at Nea Smyrni.
