Panserraikos relegated, others fight it out

Djibril Cisse scored his 50th goal in the colours of
Panathinaikos to help the Greens to a 2-1 win over Kerkyra on Sunday, as the race to escape relegation became even more intense despite Panserraikos becoming the first club to drop to the second division.
Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Cisse scored in the space to five first-half minutes to give the Greens a 2-0 lead at the Olympic Stadium but former Olympiakos man Ieroklis Stoltidis hit back for Kerkyra on the stroke of half time.
It set up a tense second half but the Greens held on for the win to move onto 57 points after 27 games, still 10 behind Olympiakos who secured the title on Sunday.
Kerkyra remain just above the relegation zone on 30 points.
Panserraikos were relegated after losing 3-1 to Aris despite taking a lead in the fourth minute from Bernard Parker.
The Yellows struck back through Raul Bobadilla, Nery Castillo and Darcy Neto.
The win means Aris have 36 points but Panserraikos are stuck at the bottom of the table on 20 points.
Larissa missed a great opportunity to climb closer to salvation after surrendering a lead against Ergotelis in injury time to draw 3-3.
Daniel Cousin had given the Thessaly side what looked like a priceless three points with an 80th minute goal to make it 3-2 but Maris Verpakovskis scored in the second minute of added time to equalise.
Larissa now have 25 points, five from safety and eight behind Ergotelis who look safe.
Asteras Tripolis occupy the other relegation place on 28 points losing 1-0 at Xanthi. Leite Marcelinho scored the only goal on 65 minutes. Xanthi have 35 points.
Atromitos are on 30 points with Kerkyra after drawing 2-2 at home with PAOK. The cup finalists had Stelios Sfakianakis to thank for his last minute equaliser.
Atromitos still face the prospect of going down and winning the cup for the first time in their history over the next few weeks. PAOK have 41 points and are in fourth place after the draw.
Panionios missed the opportunity to essentially guarantee their safety as they conceded a very late goal at Iraklis to draw 1-1 in a game during which both sides missed a penalty.
Hotshot Kostas Mitroglou had given the visitors the lead in the first half but Louis Ngwat Mahop scored in the fourth minute of added time to equalise and give Iraklis a five-point cushion from the relegation zone.
Panionios have 31 points and will probably still need to win one more of their three remaining games to secure Super League status.
In the day's other game, Olympiakos Volou won 1-0 at Kavala to move into fifth place on 41 points, three ahead of Kavala in sixth. Juan Martin scored the only goal in the 87th minute.
