The PM is thinking of a 'sweeping reshuffle'!

Prime Minister Giorgos Papandreou has reached his
limits with the public clash between two of the top government ministers, Giannis Ragousis and Evangelos Venizelos, thereby hatching scenarios of a sweeping reshuffle since Friday afternoon for "anytime in the near future", as colleagues said.

According to reports, Papandreou is reportedly very annoyed by the fact that the government is faltering continuously on problem after problem and from one internal conflict to another, and he is considering intervening in government  structure and composition dramatically.

Papandreou, however, has two obstacles to undertaking such an initiative, though it is possible to make another move next weekend in order to appease the angry spirits and restore calm to the government.

The first problem is that it is difficult to replace the Finance Minister, Giorgos Papakonstantinou, as there are critical European meetings in March, and the second is precisely these processes in Europe, but also the effort towards a consensus within the country, as he wants to make any general decisions in relation to these processes.

However, the Prime Minister has acknowledged to his interlocutors that he was wrong in September about the way he dealt with the reshuffle, and suggests that this time, if a new change takes place, it will be a more permanent and lasting solution to the problem of coordination.
