Strolling victories for Olympiakos, Panathinaikos

Dimitris Diamantidis, PAO
Ilisiakos scored the most important win
of the round of league games played on Wednesday as they managed to defeat Ikaros Kallitheas and put clear blue water between them and the relegation zone.
The Zografou club won 74-67 and even got a better head-to-head record with their visitors that could give them the edge should the two sides finish level after the regular season.
The other two teams fighting to stay up, AEK and Iraklis both lost and are in greater trouble with six rounds of games remaining.
Iraklis lost to champions Panathinaikos with a 101-68 score in Athens, while AEK suffered a seven-point defeat at Kolossos on Rhodes (64-57), a result that has definitely secured the A1 status for Kolossos for next season, too.
Olympiakos made it 20 out of 20 with a 77-49 stroll at PAOK, to stay one point ahead of Panathinaikos.
Peristeri got closer to a top-eight finish that leads to the playoffs with a 67-59 home win over a disappointing Panionios, just as Kavala saw off visiting Aris 90-85.
Finally, Panellinios moved away from relegation trouble with an 85-72 win at Lamia over third-placed Maroussi.
