Commuter transport employees in Athens, with the exception of urban bus employees, are staging a 24-hour strike on Thursday.
The Athens Metro, Isap trains, trams and trolleys will not be running throughout the day.
Only the urban buses will be running regularly in Athens on Thursday.
The strikers are demanding steady financing of the transport organisations, the signing of a collective labour agreement for the sector, the withdrawal of obligatory transfers, a fair social security regime, and ensurance of the social character of urban transports.
