Proton Bank taps PhoneFactor for multi-factor authentication service

Greek financial service provider Proton Bank has entered a
partnership with authentication services provider PhoneFactor to implement the latter’s multi-factor authentication service to Proton’s eBanking application
As part of the deal, Proton Bank’s eBanking application integrates the out-of-band architecture powered by PhoneFactor. The latter’s authentication service is set to check the customer’s identity by placing an automated call to the online banking user during the login process. To complete the login, the user has to answer the call and enter a PIN on the phone keypad. In addition, PhoneFactor can also verify specific online transactions.
PhoneFactor also provides multi-factor authentication services to ensure employee remote access and cloud services for enterprises worldwide.
In a recent development, PhoneFactor has launched a replacement program for organizations affected by the breach at RSA involving the company's SecurID token products. The company’s replacement program is set to substitute the RSA SecurID tokens with new ones.
