Alternate FM on need for national consensus

Alternate Foreign Minister Mariliza Xenoyiannakoupoulou, speaking on the theme of "Political Coincidence" at a hotel in the northern city of Serres on Friday evening, said "we are speaking of the need fior national consensus. We do not need any European to impose national consensus on us. At a crucial stage for the country the stance of each one, of each political force is what matters."

Referring to government policy and the ruling PASOK party, the minister said "we have the political will and we have a determined prime minister who is waging battles at all levels in Europe and the world. We must prove that the sacrifices are not in vain and Greece will come out of the crisis without losses."
