Greece to sell OTE in 2011, OPAP, PPC stakes in 2012

Greece will sell its full stakes in telecoms OTE (OTEr.AT) and Post Savings Bank (GPSr.AT) by the end of 2011, hoping a series of selloffs would raise up to 5.5 billion euros ($7.74 billion) this year, the finance ministry said on Monday.

"The (privatisation) programme must accelerate immediately," it said in a document it presented earlier to the cabinet. "We want to lift the great burden of debt off the Greek people."
The sale of Greece's full stake in gambling monopoly OPAP (OPAr.AT) and a partial stake sale in electricity utility Public Power (DEHr.AT) will follow in 2012, the document added.
