Greek Culinary Routes Festival in Athens, May 30-31

More than 60 Greek companies with traditional products and professional organizations will participate in the first Festival of Greek Food Vulture “Greek Culinary Routes” to be held on Monday 30 and Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 9 am to 8 pm at Syntagma Square in Athens.

The event is organized by ESTIA – Cooperation for the Promotion of Greek Gastronomy, a non-profit company with the participation of  bodies from the food and beverage sector and the Citizens’ Movement "We Consume What We Produce“  in cooperation with the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
Aim of the organizers is to promote Greek traditional products to consumers and so to support the Greek production ‘as a tool for economic development’.
During the festival 100 chefs from the Chef’s Club of Greece will prepare a giant Greek salad. There will be also Olive Oil Tasting for Beginners and some other events.
Sadly I couldn’t find any schedule of the events. Nevertheless, the entrance is free of charge, so you can just drop by and taste some Greek traditional products.
