Protesting Hellenic Postbank (TT) employees on Wednesday decided to continue the sit-in demonstration at the TT central offices on Thursday and Friday, while the bank's branches will be open for transactions.
The trade union representing the TT employees also decided to call a nationwide 24-hour strike on Monday, May 30. Striking TT employees will be gathered outside the bank's central offices and hold a march to the ministry of finance requesting a meeting with the minister.
The decision of the TT employees to escalate their protests was unanimous in response to a government decision to proceed with the bank's privatisation.
