The European Commission has asked Belgium and Greece to implement European laws ruling on the extent to which banks and financial firms should cover risk, it said Thursday.
"Although the Belgian and Greek authorities have indicated their intention to take the necessary measures to implement the remaining provisions of the directives, they have not yet done so," the commission said in a statement.
