Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas caried out a visit to Mount Athos ,on Friday and Saturday, 3 and 4 June, as a pilgrimage as well as in his capacity as Chairman
of the Committee for the Study and Promotion of the Protection of Mount Athos and other issues pertinent to the renowned Orthodox all-male monastic community.The FM was accompanied by top ministry officials and the state-appointed governor of Mount Athos, A. Kasmiroglou.
