Greek FA to end suspension after two weeks

The Greek Football Association says it will end a two-week suspension of its operations Monday, citing progress in talks with the government and professional clubs to counter fan violence and corruption in the sport.

An association statement on Friday said the suspension that took effect on June 6, would end after “our alarm bell was sounded and heard.”
The action, taken during the Greek offseason, had threatened to halt domestic leagues and the country’s participation in international tournaments.
