It was business as usual at the Super League meeting on Tuesday, as neither president Vangelis Marinakis resigned under the pressure of recent match-fixing revelations nor was there a decision to postpone the next championship's kickoff.
Even Kavala president Stavros Psomiadis, who was released on bail 24 hours earlier, was present at the meeting.
Only Achilleas Beos was missing, as the Olympiakos Volou strongman is now behind bars at Nafplio prison, accused of masterminding the match-fixing and illegal betting ring.
Marinakis did not resign, stating that his job is not done yet, and made it clear that he was unchallenged, despite reports that Panathinaikos and AEK were to call for a no-confidence vote.
"For moral reasons I asked whether any member of the governing board wanted me to resign. No one agreed to it, so we proceed as normal. I have committed myself to complete the league, ratify the table and I will see to my succession," said Marinakis, who stands accused of a felony and a misdemeanor in the match-fixing scandal.
The next Super League meeting was scheduled for July 11, which is when the ratification of the 2010-11 table is supposed to take place.
A unanimous decision was reached that the next championship will start on August 27 or 28.
