"Mr Papandreou made his choices and the people can judge." Thursday's reshuffle "has to do with persons and balances."
"Unfortunately for the Greek people the government policy will remain the same. We are continuing the fight in New Democracy for a change in policy. And a change of the political scene itself now. It is now clear that the only one who can provide a solution is the Greek people," New Democracy leader said.
He also said that he asked Papandreou to resign from the prime minister's post and that Papandreou accepted at first and utimately rejected it. "And so a historic opportunity was lost," Samaras stressed.
