A group of 16 ruling PASOK MPs are preparing to send a letter to party leader and prime minister George Papandreou calling on him to convene all the party and parliamentary bodies to discuss the Medium-Term Program on the economy, according to reliable sources.
After news of their intention was brought to light, the MPs signing the letter clarified that they are not putting forward any other issue, such as change of some of the forecasts contained in the program, adding if the text contained anything other than the convening of the bodies, they would not have signed it.
One of the MPs, in a statement to ANA-MPA, said that they are not acting against anything, but simply seeking an in-depth discussion.
