Interbanking company Tiresias said that 15,679 bounced cheques worth €168.144 million were referred in June, increased by 7.75% on year. Since January 1, the total amount of bounced checks is 95,692 cheques (€988.4 million).
The unpaid bills of exchange amounted to €15.95 million (decreased by 15% compared with June 2010), while in the period Jan-Jun 2011, a total amount of 74.883 bills of exchange were unpaid (€115.77 million).
