Eurozone ministers cancel Sunday meeting on Greece, to hold phone conference Saturday
A spokesman for the Eurogroup says the 17 eurozone finance ministers have canceled a planned meeting on Sunday and will instead discuss new aid for Greece in a phone conference Saturday.
A spokesman for Jean-Claude Juncker, the prime minister of Luxembourg and chairman of the Eurogroup, said the phone conference had been scheduled for Saturday evening.
He didn't provide a reason for the change in the plan and said he didn't know whether a statement would be released after the call.
The ministers are expected to sign of on a euro12 billion ($17 billion) loan installment of Greece's existing bailout, without which the debt-ridden country would default in July. They also planned to make progress on a second bailout for Greece.
