Four-year football ban on Beos

Imprisoned Olympiakos Volou owner Achilleas Beos received a four-year ban from all football-related activities on Thursday for statements he made in April.

The disciplinary committee of the Hellenic Football Federation appeared particularly harsh in punishing the most controversial figure of the local game, now that Beos is in the Nafplio prison ahead of his trial for the match-fixing scandal.

He received a ban from football until 2015 for derogatory statements after the match between Olympiakos Volou and Panathinaikos on April 17. He was also slapped with a 50.000-euro fine.

As a result, Beos is no more then president of Olympiakos Volou, although he appeal the decision.
