Olympiakos Volou beat Rad in Serbia









Olympiakos Volou scored a precious away win in their maiden game in a European competition on Thursday, beating Rad Belgrade 1-0 away in the Europa League.


The Volos side won the first leg of the second-qualifying-round home-and-away tie thanks to a goal headed in by Juan Martin in the 87th minute, after a decent performance throughout the match.

The return leg is in Volos on July 21, while the Thessaly club will be eagerly awaiting the draw for the next round that will take place in Switzerland on Friday, July 15. PAOK will also take part in the draw for the third qualifying round.

Also on Friday, Panathinaikos will find out their opponent for the third qualifying round of the Champions League. It will be one from Rubin Kazan (Russia), Trabzonspor (Turkey), Zurich (Switzerland), Odense (Denmark) and Vaslui (Romania)
