Presidential visit a sign of improving Israeli, Greek ties: analysts















On Sunday Greek President Karolos Papoulias arrived in Israel for a three day visit. Greece was one of the last European countries to establish full diplomatic ties with Israel.


While relations at first were slow to take off, there has been steady improvement over the last couple of years. In June 2010 George Papandreou became the first Greek prime Minister to visit Israel, and one month later Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Athens.
