Yiannis Papadopoulos joins Dynamo Dresden

One more Greek footballer will continue his career in Germany, as Yiannis Papadopoulos felt that at second-division Dynamo Dresden he could get the playing time he had been deprived of at Olympiakos.

The 22-year-old Under-21 international agreed on Tuesday to sign a contract with the former East Germany giants, who only this summer returned to Bundesliga II, the second-tier of German football.

Papadopoulos signed a two-year contract with Dynamo on Tuesday and was presented by his new club.

"He is a young player who gives energy to his team and has a bight future ahead of him," said Dynamo coach Ralf Loose.

"I have read so many things about the club on the Internet. This is a club with a huge tradition, enthusiastic fans and a beautiful stadium," said Papadopoulos, who was deemed surplus by Olympiakos coach Ernesto Valverde this summer.
