The men's national team is one step away from advancing to the finals of the European Championship of 2012, after beating Slovakia 13-7 in Vouliagmeni on Saturday.
The first leg of the qualification playoff went according to plan for the Greeks who had a great second quarter to take a decent lead in the match.
They now have a six-goal advantage to defend in the away leg that will take place on October 29 in Slovakia.
The only bad news for the national team concerned an injury to Vangelis Delakas, who hurt his right elbow.
The finals of the 2012 European Championship will take place in January in Eindhoven.
