Olympiacos survived a critical test in Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season Group A by downing Sluc Nancy 91-78 in the Pireaus, Greece on Wednesday.
Olympiacos and Nancy join Gescrap Bizkaia in a three-way tie for fourth place in Group A, all at 2-3 and just one win away from the leaders - Caja Laboral, Fenerbahce Ulker and Bennet Cantu. Vassilis Spanoulis paced the winners with 26 points and 6 assists. Michalis Pelekanos added 11 points while Andreas Glyniadakis had 10 for Olympiacos. Pelekanos lived up to his defensive reputation by limiting Nancy superstar Nicolas Batum to just 9 points.
