the Greek filmmaker Athina Rachel Tsangari invoked a practically
encyclopedic range of genre inspirations: buddy movie, screwball comedy,
Greek tragedy, western, musical, science fiction and — not least of all
— nature documentary. (The title is a mispronunciation of Attenborough, as in David, the living legend of science and natural history television.)
