Panathinaikos thrashed Panionios 109-55 at home on Thursday confirming they are in top form ahead of thei crucial fixtures ahead.
Less than a week before the big derby with Olympiakos at home, the Greens dismantled their visitors at the Olympic Sports Hall and maintained their perfect record with 10 wins out of as many games.
Panionios were never a match for their hosts and nearly suffered a double-score defeat that was the second biggest win for Panathinaikos in A1 history.
The biggest one remains their victory with a margin of 62 points over Makedonikos four years ago.
They are now level on top with Olympiakos, who had struggled to beat Kolossos on Rhodes on Wednesday.
Remarkably, Panathinaikos had seven players with double scoring figures, ed by Romain Sato's 16.
Also on Thursday Iraklis coach Darko Russo tendered his resignation following the team's home loss to AEK that has put them into serious relegation trouble.
Iraklis are now looking for their third coach of the season, as Russo had replaced Costas Pilafidis.
