EU, ECB remain positive on Greek reforms -- finmin

Greece's finance minister said on Tuesday Athens would return to international bond markets this year and said the European Commission and European Central Bank remained positive on Greece's economic reform programme.
"Regarding Greece, both the (European) Commission and the European Central Bank were positive on the
progress to date," George Papaconstantinou told reporters after an EU finance ministers' meeting in Brussels.

"The fiscal consolidation in 2010 was remarkable -- 6 percentage points of GDP, something that has never been done before."
He said Greece would launch "diaspora" bonds in the coming months, looking to raise financing from Greeks living abroad, and said the country would return to bond markets to finance itself later this year, but did not say when.
