Volleyball: Troubles grow for Greek giants

Olympiakos and Panathinaikos have been eliminated from the Champions League, but EA Patras have a great chance to advance further in the Challenge Cup.
Abandoned by their coach, Flavio Gulinelli, who quit as the club could not afford him, the Reds played without a proper setter due to the departure of Bulgarian setter Andrej Zekov and lost 3-0 to Jastrzebski in Poland on Wednesday.

The Reds lost 25-23, 25-20, 25-22 and remained bottom of their pool with four points from five games.
Panathinaikos fought hard against Austrian side Tirol Innsbruck at home but lacked the edge at the end of each set to go down 3-0 (25-23, 27-25, 32-30).
With one game left the Greens have five points and no chance of qualifying.
On the other hand EA Patras triumphed 3-1 at Unirea Dej in Romania on Thursday and are the huge favourites to make the competition's quarterfinals. All they need is a victory at home by any score.
