AEK presented on Tuesday their two new players, Nabil Baha and David Mateos, who along with Michel are the three additions to the Athens club's roster this winter, all of them on loan deals until the end of the season.
Baha, a French-born Moroccan striker, belongs to Malaga and has 20 caps with the Morocco national team.
David Mateos Ramajo belongs
to Real Madrid. The Spanish 23-year-old is a central defender and if his international playing certificate arrives by Wednesday afternoon he may well start the Cup game against Panathinaikos in the evening.
Asked on Tuesday which two of his four central defenders he would prefer, AEK coach Manolo Jimenez stated: "Up until yesterday [Costas] Manolas and [Traianos] Dellas were regular starters, with [Cristian] Nasuti as their back-up. Now with Mateos, when all four of them are fit we will lock them in a room, turn the light off and the two to survive will play!"
AEK also tried to acquire Panserraikos's 23-year-old striker Giorgos Georgiadis during the January transfer window, but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
