Finance Minister Yiorgos Papakonstantinou will be meeting Regional Development and Competitiveness Minister Mihalis Chrysohoidis and Citizens' Protection Minister Christos Papoutsis at the finance ministry on Monday afternoon.
The meeting will be held to discuss the medium-term framework for public finances and the Medium-term Fiscal Strategy Report for 2012-2014. These set annual ceilings on ministry spending and budget targets for all agencies that are part of general government until the end of 2014.
The report will be unveiled for public debate at the end of March and will be approved by the cabinet in mid-April, after which it will be sent to Parliament in order for a vote by mid-May.
Papakonstantinou has already held similar meetings with the ministers of the interior, education, agriculture, state and environment.
