Retailers vexed over public transport strikes

The greater Athens region shop-owners expressed concern for the decline in their business turnover that reached 40 percent in the first two weeks of the winter sales as well as resentment against public transport strikes that have contributed to this development, according to a statement issued by the Athens Traders Association.
Based on
a study conducted by the association, retailers offer their products in very low prices and consumers are responsive only when access to the shopping centers is not hindered.
