Referring to press information that Germany is pressuring the EU countries to raise retirement age in the context of the proposal for a "competitiveness pact", Alternate Labour Minister Yiorgos Koutroumanis said that this is not an issue for Greece.
In an interview with a private radio station, Koutroumanis explained that the measures being asked of other countries have, to a very great degree, already been incorporated in Greece in the new social security law passed in the summer of 2010 and, consequently, there is no issue for Greece regarding retirement age.
