A Libyan official is due to meet Thursday morning with Greece's deputy foreign minister Dimitris Dollis in Athens, the foreign ministry said.
Dollis will meet with representative of Muammar Gaddafi's regime Mohamed Tahir Siala, for talks that will also be attended by ministry secretary general Ioannis-Alexis Zepos.
The meeting is taking place with agreement between foreign minister Dimitris Droutsas and EU High Representative for foreign affairs and security policy Baroness Catherine Ashton, ahead of an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels later on Thursday.
No statements will be made to the press after the meeting, the ministry said.
