Finance Minister Yiorgos Papakonstantinou expressed optimism at Thursday's meeting of the ruling Pasok party's Political Council, during which all the serious issues preoccupying society were discussed, over the economy's recovery through the national plan for the country's exit from the crisis.
The meeting, chaired by the party's National Council secretary Mihalis Karhimakis, focused on the course of the implementation of the government's programmne, as well as the new programme, criticism over the effectiveness of government policy and social cohesion.
The Finance minister said the economy is on a good path and, referring to restructuring, stressed that the government does not discuss such an issue because it does not constitute a solution for Greece.
