ASE opening: Small rise





















Equity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Monday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.07 percent, standing at 1,265.76 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at 11.011 million euros.



Individual sector indices were moving upward, with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 2.04 percent; Health, up 1.24 percent and Food and Beverages, up 0.85 percent.


The biggest losses were in Oil and Gas, down 2.58 percent; and in Financial Services, down 1.51 percent.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.02 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.14 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.35 percent.


Of the stocks traded, 24 were up, 33 were down, and 21 were unchanged.
