Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas will carry out a visit to Ukraine on Monday and Tuesday, 30 and 31 May 2011.
Mr. Droutsas’s itinerary includes a one-on-one meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryschenko, followed by a meeting between the delegations from the two foreign ministries and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the State Archive Services of Greece and Ukraine.
Mr. Droutsas will also meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Volodymyr Lytvyn, and representatives of the Greek Ukrainian community.
During his stay in Kyiv, Mr. Droutsas will speak at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv’s International Relations Institute, on “Enhancing Greek-Ukrainian co-operation in the wider Black Sea area”. The Minister’s itinerary also includes a visit to the historical and cultural monument “Kiev – Pechersk Lavra” and the cathedral of Saint Sophia.
