Viohalco: Turnover Increased By 32.7% In 1Q2011















Viohalco said on Tuesday that its consolidated turnover in the first period of 2011, amounted to €860m, increased by 32,7%, compared with €648m for the corresponding period of the previous year.


According to an announcement, the consolidated profits before taxes, financing, investing results and depreciation ("EBITDA") amounted to €70.7m, compared with €38,8m, for the corresponding period of 2010, increasing by 82.5%. The consolidated results before taxes and minority rights amounted to €183m profits, compared with € 4.4m loss for 2010. Finally the consolidated net results after taxes and minority rights amounted to €6.82m profit, (or €0.0342 per share), compared with €2.8m losses, (or €-0.0141 per share) for the first three months of 2010. 

The profits before taxes of Viohalco for the first three months of 2011 amounted to €1.0m, compared with €1.5m for the corresponding period of 2010 and the net profits after taxes amounted to €0.9m (or €0.0044 per share) compared with €1.1m (or €0.0056 per share).

The gradual improvement in the demand, regarding the foreign markets, especially in Europe, combined with the continuous efforts, aiming at the deduction of the operating cost and the access to new markets, had a favorable impact on the results for the first three months on 2011.
