Greek firefighters are battling a large wildfire near the northwestern city of Ioannina, but authorities say there is no immediate threat to inhabited areas.
A fire brigade statement says nearly 100 firefighters, assisted by 21 fire trucks, are fighting through the night to contain the blaze that had approached the city's hospital earlier Tuesday.The fire brigade said the hospital was not in danger.
The cause of the fire, which was burning through low growth and scrub, was not immediately clear.
