A wildfire broke out in a forested area of Aghios Spyridonas, on the eastern Aegean island of Chios, at 1.30 on Tuesday afternoon. The fire is a few kilometres away from Chios town and according to reports, it has threatened 3-4 houses.
Firemen rushed to the area with seven fire engines, backed by two firefighting aircraft and a helicopter.
