Olympiakos announced the acquisition of two more players this week, while letting Matt Nielsen go.
First, the Greek Cup winners signed Matt Howard, a 22-year-old US forward who graduated from Butler.
He arrived in Athens on Monday and made his first statements as an Olympiakos player.
"I’m coming to a new country and I want to get to know a new culture, new food and of course, help the Olympiakos team to win its goals. I’m looking forward to meeting a respectable coach such as Dusan Ivkovic. I have heard many good things about him," he said.
On Tuesday Olympiakos also announced they have secured the services of Lithuanian international guard Martynas Gecevicius.
The 23-year-old former Lietuvos Rytas player came to Greece last weekend and successfully passed a medical test before signing his contract in Piraeus.
Also on Tuesday Olympiakos announced the extension to Giorgos Printezis's contract.
Another Olympiakos forward, Nielsen is leaving to join Russian side Khimki, with the Reds eyeing former Greece forward Lazaros Papadopoulos as a replacement.
