The Athens Metro, ISAP urban trains and trams will not run on Friday, September 23rd, due to a 24-hour strike called by their employees' unions. There is an unofficial service initiated by the website Athens Transport via Twitter. It runs in Greek but you can post your message, offering or seeking a Car Pool in the hashtag #carpoolgr. Also KTEL-Buses operate between downtown Athens and the Airport every 30 minutes. Ticket €5.

The Athens taxi owners' union on Thursday announced a 48-hour strike for Wednesday and Thursday, September 28-29, in protest against the government's draft law on the deregulation of their profession.
