Aris let manager Tsiolis go - Passialis to be the caretaker

Aris sacked coach Sakis Tsiolis on Monday after just six games in the Super League, following the Thessaloniki club's 3-0 loss at AEK on Sunday.

The club announced the end to their cooperation was by common consent, but his sacking was already certain from Sunday evening, when Aris remained without a win for the sixth match in a row. They have only collected four points.

Aris wished the former Olympiakos Volou coach good luck for the future, while Tsiolis stated that "things do not always come the way you want them to in soccer." He also expressed his hope to work for the Thessaloniki Yellows again some time in the future.

Although Aris has not named a successor yet, reports suggest that youth team coach Nikos Passialis will coach the team for the big game against Olympiakos on November 5 in Thessaloniki.

One of the reports suggested that Serb coach Dusan Bajevic might stage a spectacular return to the club he resigned from in 2008.
