The Olympic flame for the inaugural Winter Youth Olympics has been
successfully lit by the sun’s rays at the birthplace of the modern
Olympics.
It was a timely appearance by the sun on an otherwise overcast
day at Athens’ Panathinaiko Stadium, which hosted the inaugural Summer
Olympics in 1896.
