The transfer of Jeremie Aliadiere has fallen through, but Larissa sealed the acquisition of Slovak midfielder Jan Kozak on Thursday, the Thessaly club announced.
Aliadiere failed a fitness test on Thursday and Larissa withdrew their offer to sign the ex-Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker, as they decided that his signing would entail a
considerable risk.
However, the struggling Super League side confirmed the signing of the Slovak international, who had also had a spell at West Brom in England five years ago.
Kozak signed a contract until the end of the season with Larissa.
He has 25 caps and has scored twice for Slovakia.
